Jack Kim began art career in sculpture. With mixed materials in his sculptures, he held three times of solo exhibitions and many group exhibitions. He especially loved to sculpt woods, not only carving, but attach and sculpt, so the seam lines reveal with different color and direction of each word piece.

He won sculpture competition three times during his career as a sculptor.
The National sculpture fair, New Core sculpture Competition, Spring and Fall Sculpture fair.
From 2000 to 2004 Jack studied Master of Fine Art in Computer Arts at Academy of Art University, with an emphasis on visual effects.

After he studied Sculpture and 3D Creative creation, he became a rigger at The Orphanage. During his 20 years of Art career, he quickly and constantly expanded his specialty, such as 3D Modeling, Rigging, Texturing, Look development, Fur Grooming, Fur Shading, Concept, Lighting, FX.

From 2006 to 2017, he art directed and 3D supervised and model supervised on more than 35 Feature film projects such as Star Wars–The Force Awakens, Ted 1 and 2,  Jurassic World, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Twilight Saga(New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn 1 and 2), Spider-wick Chronicles, Enchanted, Ironman, Superman Returns, Pacific Rim, Welcome to Marween. 


In 2017 Jack became a Creative Creature Supervisor/CG Supervisor at Atomic Fiction (now part of Method Studios) on such films as Pacific Rim,  Velvet Buzz saw, and the Hulu original series The First, Predator.

He is specialized in Creature/Character sensitive VR/AR, VFX for feature films.
